Did anyone happen to DVR the game? I don't have CBSSN and was wanting to see the replay.

So unranked Purdue just beat 17th ranked Iowa THis time of year it happens particularity on the road. We looked a step slow, they looked a step fastor . But this is where you really win or lose championships. I have my doubts, this is an exceptionally young team, Krutwig could carry us but teams are figuring ways to make someone other than Krutwig beat us and for the most part no one has stepped up.....Krutwig shot 4 for 6 with 4 assists but he needs to get more shots and that is only going to happen if someone else becomes a threat.....so who is it going to be? or do we keep diving.

Evansville taking SIU to O.T.

Hopefully they can pull out a win. I think that would keep us tied with ISUb for 2nd place in the standings.

Really says a lot about home court advantage in the MVC.

We beat SIU by 16 at home and then lost at their place a few weeks later.

We beat ISUb by 20 at home and then got destroyed at their place a few weeks later.

ISUb now owns home wins over Drake, SIU, Bradley and Loyola, with UNI coming to town in a few weeks. They also lost by only 5 @ Dayton, who is a top 5 team in the country. I think they've shown that when their shots are falling (they are a top 10 three-point shooting team in the country), they can truly beat anyone. Their pace of play and ball movement is really impressive.

I can’t really say anything was positive from this game. But at least the starters had limited minutes overall. They had put up a lot of minutes the last week and a half. So we got that going for us, which is nice.

Here's another crazy thing about those games... neither team has lost since they played at Loyola. It's like we "activated" something in those two teams by beating them forcefully.

And one last thing... we went into the Indiana State game ranked #80 in KenPom, and Indiana State was #108. After the game, we're #97 and Indiana State is #92. We will probably go from being 2nd in the MVC in KenPom rating at the beginning of the day to 4th behind Indiana State and Bradley if the Braves win at Drake.

We need road wins. We need to beat UNI at home, and beat Evansville, Missouri State, and Bradley on the road. We need to regain the mentality we used to have to win on the road. I know that takes some maturity from your floor leaders, and a lot of floor leadership in general. But we simply can't go into games like today so ill-prepared, clueless, and on our heels. The teams that don't let that happen to them end up winning on Sunday in St. Louis.

The home game with ISU wasn't competitive at all. Lansing deserves a lot of credit for learning from that. We made 6 of our first 8 shots and were still behind. ISU did a great job of anticipating our defensive rotations leading to a lot of bunnies and some open 3s which they knocked down at a ridiculous rate. So all this was frustrating and our team didn't react well. A little bit of panic tonight which might not have happened with a more experienced team. They lost confidence as a team and you could see that in all the shots, many wide open, they missed badly and in struggling with the shot clock. Definitely reminded me of Evansville and MO ST last year. Big thing is to not let this affect the next game. We are still two games up on the road and undefeated at home. Let's call it a missed opportunity and move on. Will be almost impossible to catch UNI since they have the tie breaker wrapped up but it's important to get the best seed we can. Go Ramblers.

The difference between the 2 and 3 seed is huge. The top 2 seeds play their Friday game against a team that has to play Thursday. The 3 seed plays their Friday game against a rested 6 seed.

Speaking of bad losses, LSU was undefeated in conference play, on a 9 game winning streak, hadn't lost since before Christmas, and lost to Vanderbilt. Vandy was on a 9 game losing streak, 0-8 in conference, and hadn't won since the new year with the losses being by an average of almost 13 points. The game was in Nashville.

It is just tough to win on the road, and I think that's especially true with these midweek games. In the standings, it's just another loss, and we are still very much in contention for a top 2 spot. No need to act like the sky is falling on us.

The team just needs to take care of business in the next 4 games and I think things will shake out in Our favor.
I am nervous about the road game at Evansville. We have not played well at the Ford Center.
