You just had your ass kicked bursting your bubble on dreams of being a top twenty team. You made a great comeback and fought off the other team's effort to pull it out and walked away with a one point win in overtime on your home court.
I don't blame them for being ecstatic in their well deserved win. We are the better team but on Sunday Drake rose up for the one time and beat us fair and square.
So, time to move on.
This is how I view it as well. Drake is a very good basketball team. We are better, but it is clear that they are very well-coached and have some talented players. They fought ridiculously hard knowing any at-large chance they have would disappear with another loss. Ton of emotion poured out at the end of a hard fought game. Good for them--they should celebrate.
I don't know what words were said by either team. Obviously if they said some words to our team (rather than just celebrating), that might cross the line a bit.
But it's over. Figure out what the hell happened to our offense down the stretch, learn from it and move on. Let's win out and hopefully we see the Bulldogs on Sunday in St. Louis. Good to have an intense rivalry like this.
