Custer is the difference maker. No chance we win that game without him. Great job by the team to hold on - and How about Williamson's block!!

Only 7 turnovers. The Custer factor is big.

So great to have Custer back. What a difference he makes.

Also, Krutwig and Lucas down the stretch...WOW. Two really talented freshmen that will be fun to watch develop over the years. Also thought Negron had a few good defensive possessions in Koch when we really needed him after Jackson and Krutwig got into foul trouble.

Another tough road test on Wednesday at ISUr. I think we are positioned to go on a run though.

Yep, and hooked up with Ben a couple times.

Wonder what Krutwig's plus/minus was today. Refs took him out of the game and kept UNI in it.

Any win in the road is a good win! Let’s keep rolling! Glad to see Custer back and seemingly 100 percent with the ankle.

Donte Ingram might be my favorite Rambler of all time. Seriously.

When we had a BIG bucket and we're going back on defense with under 4 minutes left, he's bouncing and clapping and leading the defense. AWESOME. I want to remember that about him forever That guy loves Loyola and loves basketball.

I think I'll write a 700 word essay about it...

side note - it is hard to put a lot of stock in these pre-season polls. UNI was #2...and 0-4 in league play.

Dontes definitely shown more leadership even in losses when Custer was out. Emotional player when things are going well, but rarely if ever pouts on defense. It’s forgotten in a loss but what he did for 5 minutes agains Indiana State was amazing.

Also I completely agree on Negron, he wasn’t perfect but he showed up today; he’s raw but just oozing with potential, and you get the sense he’s a high character guy. I can’t wait for him to grow alongside Krutwig (and Agunanne) in the coming years

I was at the game in Cedar Falls last year and we got an even worse deal from the referees than in this game.

In the first half of this game particularly there was a lot of slipping and sliding on the court. Last year Milton spent a good part of the game on the floor. I think the court might be over ice.

I hope this game puts an end to any discussion about lack of effort. We overcame many forms of adversity in this one with pure effort. Hard to watch but a joy at the end!
