Time to regroup and take it out on MSU this weekend. Judging by the ticket seat map, looks like it could be a great crowd. First weekend game I’ll miss this year, which sucks, but I’ll be in a Vegas putting some money down on our Ramblers to make the Tournament (and, what the hell, to win it all).

Weird to think that fans who didn't want us in the MVC are now calling a victory against us their biggest in a decade...

I'm not one to blame the refs for a loss (though the missed goaltending call obviously affected the game), but just wanted to point out that one of the refs last night was Gary Maxwell, who, according to KenPom, has only done one other game of ours in the past three years, and it was our home game this year against Indiana State. I guess he likes to let guys play, because Bradley and Indiana State both played extremely physical games and got away with it enough to beat us.

The second ref was John Hampton, who has done two MVC conference games in the past three years.

Last was KB Burnett, who apparently only refs about 15 games a year (though several have been Loyola games).

It's strange at the Valley couldn't get a stronger crew for a 1 vs 2 matchup in the middle of the season.

Bad news: We look terrible yesterday for most of the game. Krutwig made a mistake, but better now than later.

Good news: We looked terrible, and still had a chance to win. Teams and fans are starting to respect us. A year ago we were still everyone's punch line. It feels good to be at the top.

I'm ready to move on. We're still in 1st, and can win the conference! Let's hope the Gentile fans can give a little push. I know it's one of the games they're promoting for admitted students. My youngest brother will be there as part of that! Who knows? Maybe an exciting good game will get some students hooked for when they enroll full time.

No doubt. First place and three of our next four at home (with a revenge trip to Indiana State mixed in). Time to start a new winning streak! Even winning three of four would set us up for 12 or 13 conference wins.

Arch Madness starts in four weeks. Let's do this!

It took Bradley giving everything they had on their home floor, Loyola playing pretty terrible most of the night, a missed goal-tending call and a freshman mistake for them to win by 2. I think the Ramblers will be ok.

Kaplan on ESPN just spent a good 5 minutes talking about the game last night. He was pretty worked up about the no call on goaltending.

In the discussion was this line (or something like it):

"That no call could cost them a shot at the tournament."

God, I hope not.
