That's exactly what I'd hope we'd learn from this game... to not be intimidated or let the other team get in our heads. I imagine that was the major focus of Gregg Marshall at WSU in his first year when they finished something like 4-14 in conference. Year by year he built the kind of confidence they're showcasing this year.

Every TO, Porter has to emphasize this... just play your game. They're good, but you have nothing to be afraid of. Play!

Yeah I don't care if we lose by 20 as long as we make simple basketball plays they've made all season. This can be a growing experience even if it's a resounding loss. But damn, this is just a beatdown you try to get out of as fast as possible.

Right on! Shox are good, but we're really hurting ourselves by making silly mistakes.

I know the Ramblers are better than this, but it's pretty common that teams don't make "routine" shots against the Shox. I'm pretty sure that players rush their shots or become tentative due to the strength, length, and athleticism of the Shockers. We ware players down with our D, and at the end of the game everyone complains that they didn't do what they normally do.

I posted in the wrong thread. Said Indiana State was down by 28 at WSU at the 8 minute mark last week. We're holding our own. We forced them to bring back Van Vleet and Baker off the bench. If not for the nerves and intimidation that caused us to take some bad shots and miss some free throws, we'd be behind by 10 on the road against the #4 team in the nation.

I got more excited about that successful White-Osbourne pick and roll than anything else this game.
