I hope that's where.

#WeAintGoing by itself is too open-ended, and vulnerable to malevolent manipulation by Rambler enemies. Indeed the possibilities for mischief are infinite.

It was great to be there yesterday! Came back last night and watched the game to see what I missed. Here's some observations about the game and tournament in general:

    1. We actually controlled from beginning to end despite the runs. We trailed a total of 3 minutes and never fell behind after being down 7-5.

    2. It seemed our guys won a lot of 50-50 balls, and that we out hustled them. There were a few plays where one of our guys dove and got the ball while Drake was standing and didn't go after it as hard.

    3. Braden Norris is big time. Between Richmond and this tournament, he seems to thrive under the spotlight. Glad he made the tournament team.

    4. We made our free throws! Made the game a lot less stressful down the stretch. We shot 82.9% this tournament from the line.

    5. I think we've found our 8 man rotation that Porter is going to run with for the rest of the season, but it's good to know we can trust guys like Welch, Wojcik, and Kaifes if we need them.

    6. I don't know what to think of the Porter hinting at Krutwig coming back. Is he just doing it to because he knows something and enjoys teasing everyone or is he trying to convince Cam to come back?

    7. I miss having announcers on the court level. I know it's small, but explanations from the refs can help the viewer and sometimes they hear things that can explain what happened. I really don't know what Keith said to get a T or what the Drake player said either.

    8. Overall, I think our guys kept their cool very well. Drake was trying to get under our skin and we just out-played them. Obviously, they were doing their best to get to us. One time Lucas was waiting to pick up the ball to inbound and the Drake tossed it to him and then hit it at him again. They were barking at Cam who stood his ground early in the game too.

    9. It's so nice to be able to celebrate another championship! The NCAA tournament can't come soon enough!

I know that Hutson has earned more minutes, and I think that's great. But why has Welch been totally shutout from PT?

Krut mentioned in his interview after Sunday, and I think PM said something similar after SIU that it is all about matchups. I think Krut basically said that the matchups throughout the tournament just didn’t fit Welch. Sounds like that will determine Hutty vs Welch, although have to imagine in the NCAA tourney a lot more big bodies will be seen.

I thought I heard that the average age of Drake's team is older than 3 NBA teams, including the Bulls. Did I hear that correctly?

1. On the SCORE today PM said the Hutson vs Welch was indeed a match up thing....that they needed a big Big
2. Yep the Drake team averages over 23 years of age....and all returning for next year.

Great to win against my new hated MVC team, Drake; previously it was Northern Iowa.

That said, you got to give Drake a lot of credit for fighting as hard as they did being so shorthanded.
