Northern Iowa – Seth Tuttle and Company had a great week with two no-doubters against ISUr at home (by 19) and at Missouri State (by 11, after leading by 26). For the week, Tuttle averaged 22.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4 assists on 79% shooting from the field and 80% behind the arc. The #11 Panthers visit Loyola and host Bradley this week.

Wichita State – The #13 Shocks got an easy home win over Indiana State and a hard fought ESPN 2 win over Illinois State in Normal, maintaining their collision course for a showdown with UNI on the final day of the season to decide the #1 seed. This week they’ll face SIU in Carbondale and the Aces at home.

Indiana State – The Sycamores split their two games on the week, dropping their visit to Wichita and playing impressively against Drake at home. Give Greg Lansing credit for turning their dismal non-con record around with superb coaching of a crew that has just enough talent to win against all but the top two in conference. The 9-5 Trees will try to solidify their hold on 3rd place this week with a roadie at Missouri State and a home game against the Salukis.

Evansville – A home win over Missouri State and Mockevicius’ return from concussion in a road win over SIU vaulted the Aces over Illinois State for 4th place. They will host Drake and make the trip to Wichita this week.

Illinois State – The Redbirds have lost three in a row, including their road trip to UNI and home game against the Shockers this past week. Now only a game ahead of the Ramblers in fifth place, they will visit rival Bradley before hosting the Ramblers (possibly with Doyle back in the lineup?) this week.

Drake – The Bulldogs got a come-from-behind win over Bradley at home, but fell to a methodical Indiana State team in Terre Haute this past week, dropping into sole possession of 7th place. They travel to Evansville and host Missouri State (losers of 11 out of their last 12) this week.

Southern Illinois – After a surprise win over Illinois State the previous week, the Salukis dropped two games last week—at Loyola and home against the Aces. At 3-11, they will host WSU and visit 3rd place Terre Haute this week.

Bradley – The 3-11 Braves suffered two tough losses on the week, giving up a late lead at Drake, and failing on a tying shot with :02 against Loyola. They will host I-74 rival Illinois State before traveling to UNI this week.

Missouri State – Picked to finish 3rd in the league, just about everything has gone wrong for the Bears this season. The loss of Marcus Marshall may have once been a rallying point, but they just don’t have the offense to compete. Their double-digit losses last week at Evansville and hosting UNI made them 1-11 in their last 12 games after starting the conference season 2-0. They will host Indiana State and visit Drake this week.
