There will definantly be tickets for Friday. Lots of people come and go when games are over. JCT's Restaurant Suggestions: Sauce on the Side (Inexpensive gourmet calzones, great bottled beer): 903 Pine St, St. Louis, MO (about 7 short blocks east from Scottrade in downtown STL) Planter's House (Elegant Pub Food, try the Duck Burger): 1000 Mississippi Avenue, St Louis MO (1/2 mile from Scottrade, south of I-64) Mango (Upscale Peruvian food, lively entertainment): 1101 Lucas Ave., St. Louis, MO (1 block north of Washington Ave., a hot nightlife strip near Loyola hotel) Vito's Sicilian Pizzeria & Ristorante (Great Italian, lively atmosphere, may need reservations) 3515 Lindell Blvd, St. Louis, MO (about 1.2 miles west of Scottrade across from St. Louis U.) Other suggestions: The St. Louis Symphony at Powell Hall is excellent, and inexpensive compared to Chicago. They're having a soprano sing a Wagner piece Friday and Saturday night. http://www.stlsymphony.org/en/tickets/p ... e-listing/ If you’re not claustrophobic, take an elevator ride to the top of the Arch for a great view. The Hill is full of great and affordable Italian Restaurants (similar to Taylor Street in Chicago). It's a residential neighborhood with Old School Italian restaurants in converted houses, like Tufano's in Chicago. Zia's is one of the most popular restaurants, but others may have suggestions. It's about 2 miles west of Scottrade, parking can be difficult so you may have to use valet service. Tour the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Soulard, and then check out the kitschy restaurants, brew pubs, and Wicker Park-like street life. The Central West End is a lower-key Lincoln Park, with handsome homes straight out of “Meet Me in St. Louis,” and a few nice restaurants and bars. Leclede’s Landing is a very touristy area with blues clubs, bars, and a casino. Check out Forest Park—site of the 1904 World’s Fair and Olympics. It's their equivalent of Lincoln Park, with a zoo, jogging, ponds, a historical society, etc. About 2 1/2 miles west of Scottrade, great for a drive through the winding roads, exercise, sightseeing, and relaxing if the weather is nice. Take a ride on the Metro to see some of the city and surrounding areas. Lines go to the Airport, west into St. Louis County, and into Illinois across the historic Eads Bridge built in 1874. |

Just some other thoughts on the Arch Madness Experience 1. If you are driving down lunch at the Cozy Dog in Springfield...corn dogs, chilli dogs, oh and those pork tenderloin sandwiches..right off of 55 www.cozydogdrivein.com/ 2. St.Louis also has a very accessible Art Museum on their museum campus. http://www.slam.org/ 3. I was also going to suggest the Museum of Western Expansion under the Gateway Arch but it is under construction with some exhibits moved to the old courthouse, Instead if you want to miss the previous games leading up to the Rambler game their is the little town of Kaskaskia. population 14. Was the original capitol of Illinois Now is west of the Mississippi as the channel changed in 1840 something. But in Kaskaskia is the first Jesuit Church built in the Illinois Country in 1703. The Church of the Immaculate COnception is still there having been re-built several times but contains the original alter. You enter on the Kings Road built by Louis the XV along with a bell in the Church given to George Rogers Clark )(of Lewis and Clark) for his victory in Battle during the Revolutionary War. http://www.greatriverroad.com/stegen/ra ... church.htm 4. You can stop in Mt. OLive ( right off of 55) and visit the grave of rabble rouser Mother Jones. She lived to be a 100 and is buried among the coal miners who died in the famous Virden coal miners strike. SHe would give Rauner what for. http://www.illinoislaborhistory.org/uni ... etary.html 5. Recommended Rigazzis on the Hill for their Goldfish bowl of beer ,http://www.rigazzis.com/ |

How about visiting Cahokia Mounds World Heritage Site in Collinsville, Illinois? It's visible from the St. Louis Arch. It has the largest man-made structure and is the largest city in North America north of Mexico from pre-Columbian times. You can climb to he top of Monks' Mound and peer across the Mississippi as people did 700+ years ago. Agreed about the Mother Jones monument. Inspiring. Power to the people, workers and Ramblers. |

Recommended Rigazzis on the Hill for their Goldfish bowl of beer ,http://www.rigazzis.com/ Somewhere up there Ed Waldmire is smiling knowing that his place got a mention on here. Great Route 66 history with the Cozy Dog, especially one of the sons, Bob Waldmire. Bob passed away a few years ago, but was a Route66 legend, and the inspiration for the George Carlin voiced character in the cartoon movie "Cars" Rigazzis is good. I also like Charlie Gitto's, who has as restaurant on the Hill and downtown on 6th Street. Ballpark Village, just a short walk from the arena, and across from Busch, has a number of restaurant options as well. |

There's an ESPN 3 link on the LU Athletics home page, but I think that's blacked out for most of the Midwest. The game will be on shown on delay on Comcast Sports Net because of the Bulls game, but it will be live on Fox Sports Midwest-- which is available on most cable packages. If you want to listen to the radio broadcast via internet, there's a Listen Live link on the local St. Louis station that's carrying the games: http://www.101sports.com/ Early this morning when I woke up, I was half-watching a cable news show when a commercial for Arch Madness came on. The spot was promoting the TV broadcasts on Fox Sports Midwest. It didn't even register until I saw a quick shot of Jeff White from last year's tournament, and they ended the action clips with Doyle's buzzer-beating three against Bradley last year. |

Our game(s) should be on the Loyola audio stream, too, I think. |

I am trying to get down there for the game Friday but can only stay for that game. What is the best (read: cheapest) way to get a ticket for our game? THANKS and GO RAMBLERS! |

The cheapest way to get tickets is to buy them from someone outside the arena. If it's after the first game of Session 3 starts, I'd imagine you can get in for $10-15. If you're not comfortable with that, there's always the Scottrade Center box office. |
