why he would not even mention the post-season is beyond me. A general listener would think our season is over. Just say we are waiting to hear if our season will continue.

I have no idea how these things work , but I do know our previous Admins had a negative position on Athletics especially Hoops. To me , I suspect the reason PM said nothing about our purported BID is that-- a-- there is no bid, or --b-- the admin received a bid and has declined.

Guys I am really disappointed so far--I truly hope I am wrong--

There is a sequence to this. First NCAA.Then the NIT. The disappointed teams are contacted and then accept or reject. Then the CBI. They just finished the NIT 32 team selection show. The CBI website says 2015 participants to be announced soon.
Porter's silence does not mean a thing. He gathered the team together did, he not? They were having pizza etc. He talks to his AD a lot. Porter would not call his team together if it was to be a let down. The AD does not seek the limelight. Mr.W is very low key but gets things done.
Best sign.
The phone calls soliciting money to help defray expenses. See Ramblin' Ray comments. I know he got a call as did some others. You know, green shirts for St. Patrick's day at the Norville.
Soon!!!! I know there was an issue with volleyball and hosting a Wednesday game but Tuesday is open so that would be the only thing standing in the way of a home game. It could be a road game. Higher seed gets home game including round to advance. Second game for winners would be March 23rd.
I also doubt that Father G would stand in the way of this chance to get some publicity.
Remember DePaul and UIC both fired their coaches with time left on their contracts. This is a chance to draw attention to our success which would certainly help Chicago area recruiting.

It felt like election night where you are waiting for the winner to be declared.

But it did happen.

As Ramblermanager 95-99 posted. Loyola vs Rider on Tuesday night at the Gentile!

Go Ramblers!
