Good find. I am happy to see us in the CBI breaking our postseason drought. Good to see the seniors get more games and will be good for the rest of the team to get some tournament experience even if it is a smaller one.

Rider University, a New Jersey school, finished 21-11 in the MAAC. I know nothing else about them.

I think this is very exciting for Loyola Basketball. Shows me that admin is not just "all talk" and is willing to make things happen. I can't wait to be there and support my Ramblers! I'm Rambler Proud!

From over at the Catch and Shoot their leading scorer and rebounder was a 7 footer but he is out with an ACL tear.

An interesting note: the CBI utilizes the 30 second shot clock.

Rider played one common opponent, Michigan St. and got beat by around 20. They also played Kansas and Georgia Tech and beat NCAA Tournament team Manhattan.

Well now, I am certainly pleased that I was WRONG !! Probably comes from many years of seeing our RAMBLERS play and beat some of the best and then to have it all thrown away. Now my faith in LUC has been restored--THIS admin has delivered--has shown that it means business here and now.
Now then, let's beat RIDER and take another small step on the way back. AND btw, if indeed we win a couple these next two weeks. those steps will become bigger.

After all LOYOLA IS the big wolf in town at the moment !! Only Valpo rates near us. NU--fageeabout them !!

Here is the bracket:

Colorado is the only "power 5" team. I am guessing quite a few turned down the offer.

Because there's obviously some beef about Northwestern never playing Loyola, Chris Collins told me they received a CBI bid but declined.
Have no idea if he was aware of a possible matchup with Loyola or if he just felt a Big Ten team was too good for the CBI.
