CBS sports reports that Steve Lavin and St. John's have parted ways. Looks like the last minute surge and NCAA appearance did not heal the wounds. Jim Whitesell is an assistant coach at St. John's. I suspect he will be on the move again. Too bad as he is a great guy. But with the Final Four just around the corner I am sure that he will land something. It is a rough life especially as an assistant as your fate is tied to the head coach. |
