The Tribune reports that Moser was upset over James' dunk on Monday which made Sportscenter's Top Ten, and will start Cal Kennedy in his place to teach Montel a lesson.

"I have two problems with Montel's dunk", Moser said. "First, it was not how the play was drawn up. Montel was supposed to kick the ball back out to Earl for a desperation three at the buzzer. Second, I hate showoffs. Basketball is a team sport, and there's no room for razzle dazzle. Defense and discipline are what wins games. Not highlight dunks. Loyola is not Kentucky. Cal Kennedy understands that, and won't attempt any athletic moves."

Sigh...really?! I certainly understand that Porter is trying to make a point. He wanted Montel to act like he had been there before rather than celebrate as if he was participating in a dunk contest (these are Porter's words). At the same time, I think a "stern" talk would have served the same purpose. I don't find it productive to mess with the team's chemistry at this point in the season. If Montel has a bad game tonight, I'm blaming the coach.
