They were just under .500 this year but I am fully on board with this matchup. |

Looks like they lost 9 of their last 10 games and finished with an RPI of 175. Hopefully they are better next year. Think they finished 8th. Kinda sucks we don't get a home game out of it. |

Here is the bit about them from before the Mountain West Tournament: Quote: The Lobos lost their big three in Kendall Williams, Alex Kirk and Cameron Bairstow, who powered them to the league tournament championship the past season. The Lobos are normally dominant at home but lost five games in The Pit for the first time since the 2006-07 season. I'd guess they'll be better next year. |

Either way, The Pit is a notoriously tough place to play. It opened in 1966, and New Mexico is 696-158 (.815) there. They were 10-5 there this year, and broke Colorado State's 14-game winning streak to start the season. It was one of the top 30 best home court records in basketball when this past season started. |
