1. Dwayne Wade's first college game was against Loyola at the Bradley Center on November 17, 2001. Loyola played 9 games against Miami's backup point guard Norris Cole when he was at Cleveland State. Cleveland State was 8-1 against Loyola from 2007-11 when Cole was playing for CSU. 4. The Miami Heat's Jawan Howard attended Loyola's game against Chicago State on November 17, 1998. It was Loyola Coach Larry Farmer's first win at Loyola. 5. Miami's Mike Miller beat the MCC's NCAA tournament representative, Butler, with a heartbreaking last-second OT layup in the first round of the 2000 NCAA Tournament after Butler had led Florida for most of the game. Miller's Gators eventually advanced to the NCAA Tournament Final. |
