When considering who will start next year, you might want to look at who the coach went with last year. The 5 major minute players were the ones who scored the most per 40 minutes played, both in the regular season, & even more so in the CIB tournament. I would look at the 4 top scoring returning main minute men (James, Doyle, Turk, & Peterson) to start with the productive JC big man, Maurice Kirby (the biggest & widest man on our team) to replace the graduated inside man, Christian Thomas. I would see some of Thomas’ minutes (27.8) & some of Crisman’s minutes (16.9) also going to Ingram and for the development of Rajala, Knuth, & the freshman, Perness Agdei. After the 3 starting guards, I don’t know how the coach will split the minutes with Richardson, White, and Smith. We are loaded with talent at the guard position (although we will be losing 2 or 3 of them after next season). Since it is now July it is now "this year" not "next year". The 205-16 school year started on July 1st. |

Oh Gosh !! I don't know, but what with the tremendous job PM did last season with a talented but awfully small team, I feel he will do right this year as well. Look at how MOST of our youngsters developed last season--Earl at Kent as an example. |

We played three freshman a great deal last year. I see Ingram in the starting lineup instead of Kirby. I do expect Kirby to contribute. Not sure about the other as much. One thing not mentioned is Knuth. If he added muscle while not losing his shoot or speed, he will contribute. I expect another deep rotation for next year with a focus on a trapping "D" and speed. |
