It seems that WSU's men's basketball program is fast turning into a residential treatment facility for those with a drinking problem. I heard Gregg Marshall is implementing a new 12 Step offense to reflect the program's direction. Conner Frankamp's arrest for DUI (an impressive .186 BAC) is relatively old news. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketb ... picion-dui But it looks like Conner might soon have a couple of new drinking partners. Chris Jans, who was fired as head basketball coach at Bowling Green after an alcohol-fueled sexual harassment incident at a bar, has just been hired by WSU as a "basketball consultant". http://www.kansas.com/sports/college/wi ... 11540.html And WSU just offered a scholarship to Emmitt Holt, who was dismissed from Indiana U. less than a month ago for two separate alcohol incidents. http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/co ... /71816252/ ....and, fyi, Ron Baker's real name is Ron Brewer! |

I am disgusted !! I now shall have lost all respect for WSU and Marshall if what SWELLA posts, pans out to be true. Why ?? Most of you know--If not , well Lor and I lost our Britt a when a DRUNK driver took him and three other fine VANDY Students south of Nashville back in 1976 ( It still seems like yesterday that the Sheriff came to tell us the news) Three other sets of parents must always feel the pain Marshall will now have sullied the MVC, in my mind, with these moves-- GO RAMBLERS !!! |

One of the MANY reasons I admire Brot is the way he has approached life. I know I could not be the positive charitable person that he is if I had lost any of my children to a drunk driver. I completely agree with his assessment of Marshall. Although people deserve a second chance lets be clear Marshall does not give a hoot about second chances or character. I think he used to. Now he has decided to reach down to a low level. You would think that with the success he has had, he would be able to avoid recruiting these type of players. He has forfeited the respect that I had for him. |

Wichita State enacted new eligibility rules for its basketball players: So long as a player's GPA is higher than his BAC, he is good to go! And in keeping with the NCAA's new rules about paying the full cost of attendance, WSU basketball scholarships now include a stipend for bail and court costs! And court-ordered Community Service now counts for three credit hours! |

Verbal Commits reports that the Snockereds have offered Kareem D. Menthe, a 6'6" small forward known for his shooting prowess (15 jello shots in 40 minutes). Other offers include The Betty Ford Clinic and Hazelden Chicago. |

Rivals reports that Kareem D. Menthe has reclassified from 2016 to 2018, to reflect his new release date following the revocation of his good time credit for possession of Pruno. The Snockereds still interested and will hold a scholly for him, per Rivals. Glugg Marshall also looking at Menthe's cellmate JaeRemy Martin, a 6'9" power forward who reportedly benches 500 pounds and is nicknamed "Princess Fiona". |
