How about suggestions on whom our starters will be for our practice game ? I like TURK as our sixth man. He could then study opposition tendencies , then come in and BOMBS AWAY !! MILTON starts with ??? What say you, guys and Gals ?? GO RAMBLERS !!! |

My guess? F - James C/F - Kirby G/F - Ingram or Peterson G - Milt G - Keke I think that it may not be long before Adgei cracks the starting lineup. Most likely in that G/F spot. |

Leaves two guard spots for Keke, Peterson, Turk, Richardson, and Ingram. I could see any combination of those in the starting lineup. I think his athleticism combined with his bigger body could be an additional spark, especially depending on match-ups. That said, this is pure speculation based in absolutely no fact. This is a really good question. I think Turk makes a good case to start. And where does Richardson fit in? I was looking at the Plus/Minus numbers from last year, and how they were broken down for offense and defense. There are some surprises. Our best offensive players (playing 10 games or more) from last year according to Plus/Minus box score numbers: Turk 3.7 Doyle 3.2 Thomas 2.0 Peterson 1.0 Richardson 0.8 Ingram -0.4 Knuth -0.9 James -1.1 Crisman -1.6 White -2.1 Rajala -5.1 Dokubo -9.0 Our best defensive players: Dokubo 3.8 Crisman 3.5 Doyle 2.1 Richardson 1.6 White 1.1 Rajala 0.5 James 0.4 Peterson -0.3 Ingram -0.3 Thomas -0.5 Turk -0.6 Knuth -1.6 The bottom line is, the only two players who are PLUS players on both offense and defense are Doyle and Richardson. Crisman was such an impactful player on defense that he was our third best player-- ahead of Thomas-- in the combined plus/minus last year, and his defensive contribution will have to be replaced. The best five returning players on combined offense and defense are Doyle, Turk, Richardson, Peterson, and a tie between James and Ingram. |

Wow !! What if James Rajala an Adgei wer on the floor at same time , with Doyle and KIKI ??? THAT would be a truly different style of game. IF and I say IF our bigs are swift and quick, it truly would be a revelation. Will not happen , but------- My thought is at least for non-con games, we will see a constant influx of players --because we appear to have a really huge mix of talent. We know about Milton--Would that Rajala blossoms !! My starters ---Doyle, Kiki James Richardson and pick one with TURK off bench |

I'm going to go with: Keke Doyle Peterson James Kirby With a very talented bench. If we can get some quality play from Julius and Adgei, we will be in great shape. And next year with Custer/Doyle.... |

2011 has it about right ,I think. I forgot all about KIRBY--Yikes !! Start these guys with Turk at the ready, Gosh, I am getting really anxious. I DO BELIEVE WE WILL CHALLENGE for second with maybe a big surprise for Shockers late. ( This thought goes hand in hand with my loss of respect for them--Should not enter in, but it does sad to say). |

What I'm most excited about is sitting in my seat during halftime on Friday evening and wondering how it's possible for the hot jumbo pretzels to already be stale and the cheese sauce cold!!! Go Ramblers!!! |
