Shockers DOWN again !! This time to Alabama 64-60 !! I do not know when their Big will be back--hammies are bad news mostly-- Strange that they have stumbled because of the loss of one man. The MORNING LINE due in a week or so will surely have a surprise or two !! |

That's a tough loss for Wichita State. Granted, they are short handed and the NCAA selection committee takes that into account when handing out at large bids. Unless they win the next two games, there is a high probability that the MVC is a one bid league this season. |

The Valley isn't at 1 bid status just yet. We still have a couple of good non-con games to go to get back on track. But yes, losing an All American PG does have an effect. But some of the young guys are showing some signs and this will pay off later in the year. This mornings game against Iowa won't be easy. Especially now that we are down one Anton Grady with a spinal concussion. Word is he is walking with assistance this morning and they're hopeful that he may be able to fly home with the team this evening. Assuming Grady comes back in a week or two and Fred is back next week we should be looking fine by then. Fred is far more important than Grady. Frankamp will be eligible soon and we'll finally see if he plays enough D to use his offensive skills to our benefit. Hopefully Shamet comes back in February as he's our 3rd best guard behind our two All Americans. Hopefully Shaq wakes up and takes advantage of the opportunity today with Grady out. He's been MIA this year. |
