From Illinois Prep Bullseye:
Meanwhile, another class of 2013 prospect has found a new home, as 6'4 point guard Quinten Payne committed to Ball State University and new head coach James Whitford today after taking an official visit this past weekend. Payne chose the Cardinals over Eastern Illinois, Virginia Tech and Western Michigan.
Payne previously committed to Loyola-Chicago and head coach Porter Moser before deciding to reopen his recruitment. He is a scoring point guard who does a good up of pushing the ball up the floor, has legit 3-point range, can create his own shot and has solid playmaking ability.
Payne's commitment was confirmed by his traveling team coach Mike Weinstein of Fundamental University.
