Man was that fun to watch. There was something different today.....The team really seemed to play with confidence and swagger. They seemed to go 100% all game and gain energy . Losing the lead and going to overtime just did not seem to bother them. It was great to see how happy they were as a team as well. It was great to hear the student body involved. It was also a great brand of basketball to watch. This was everything I was hoping for in LU basketball renaissance, other than a full house.
So what happened here? I really thought we were down and out and now I am thinking we could still grab a 6th place. This team did not give up ....why? there has to be some positive energy somewhere ..spurred by somebody??? There has been some lackluster play this year which I never saw as lack of hustle but just a group that easily became discouraged and had no real leadership.... but yesterday was a resurrection. Is it a turning around point?
Also after the game it was cool to see Coach Moser spend some time with the Indaina State seniors as they went through the line. A classy thing that I think win or lose is a hallmark of PM's teams

Natey !! That is what run and gun will do for you--Excitement !! Full marks to Moser for apparently changing things up. It was evident FROM THE VERY ONSET that the team got it ! He basically got out of the way , and let them go !!
Now we must keep it going.
Will Moser bring us to where we belong ?? Doubtful ! But it should be a neat ride toward the elite as of old. Am I living in the past ?? You betcha !! Same as DUKE, KY, GTN et al are.

GO RAMBLERS !! SHOW ' EM !!!

Loyola won because Porter's strategy was to get the ball low to Montell whoever possible. He recognized the weakness of their bigs. 28 points and 14 rebounds. When ISU collapsed it led to hoops from Turk and others.

Agreed Loyal-Royal ! That is an integral part of the run and gun !! Montel and his feeders were superb---in our tenth conf game. Where was that coaching earlier ??
