Looks like the Birds just knocked off Evansville. Does that have any effect on our seeding possibilities? To be honest, I believe we have a decent chance at beating every team left on our schedule (except Wichita). Evansville looks nothing like the team that was supposed to challenge the Shockers for the MVC crown. We've already shown we are capable of beating UNI and Drake. And that MoSt game is one we should have won. Let's get it done Ramblers. |

We have a great chance to get to sixth !! If and that is a big IF we go up-tempo against what is left. If we revert to what we did late against Braves, we will be cooked. Our opponents know us and that "hold-on" offense with Defense. PM has played that for years and the 'Bads" are on to it. Our guys are quick and have proved it. SO I say let's ROLL !! Shoot well , run and defend and then we win !!! Go and I mean GO RAMBLERS !!! |

Sorry to be a wet blanket, but did you guys look at the probabilities in the link that ramblermanager posted? Sixth place is virtually impossible. One way to get there would be to sweep our last 5 games. Anybody want to place a bet on that? The other way is to win 4 of 5 and end up tied with UNI. In this scenario, Indiana State has to lose 4 of 5 including at Missouri State on Saturday. We're probably better off rooting for Indiana State in that game anyway because it will help us pass Missouri State and get into seventh place in the more likely scenario that we end up 7-11. |

I don't think it's too crazy for us to go 4-1 and finish 9-9. Difficult? Of course. But we've shown we can beat these teams. The toughest obstacle to achieving that comes this Saturday vs Evansville. If we can find a way to knock the Aces off..... |
