Per Verbal Commits.

Weighs 230. Rated 3 stars by Scout and Rivals coming out of high school in Denver.
Averages 17 and 9 at Trinidad JC.

Ramblers are his first offer per Verbal Commits.

I hope he is a Montel James clone. Moser seems to have better success with undersized 4/5s than more prototypical bigs.

He's left-handed, and has some dribbling ability and some hops. Pretty good shot blocker, too.

Looks like he does some nice things around the hoop and he's big and strong. Super low release on his jump shpt though, especially for a big guy.

That is one of the more ridiculous mixtapes I have seen. He is so much bigger than those guys it looks like he doesn't even fit on the court.

That said, I like a left-handed shot blocker.

He looks like a guy who would match up well with Illinois State. Actually, he looks like a guy Illinois State would recruit.

I know we have talked a lot this year at the lack of effective bigs and man was it obvious last night . PM tried at times to play two bigs at the same time and we were woefully over matched. I think Rajala and Kirby have at least two more years before they can be considered competent DI big men....both guys do some things well but are also far from doing everything that is necessary. To watch Montel battle by himself inside is like watching a Transformers movie. THe fact that last year even as Montel was developing that we were able to play him along with Christian Thomas was a real plus we do not have this year.

With regards to our big men...Rajala and Kirby are starting to show signs of promise. Kirby needs to never shoot anything outside of 5 feet. That 15-18 foot jumper last night was ugly. They just need to get some playing time to grow. Why they were benched for most of the beginning of the year is beyond me. As for last night, I didn't think they were as outmatched as we may think. Sure, they weren't scoring but them simply being in the post opens some things up offensively and closes things down defensively. That's why I always advocated for Jeremy King to play. He never got a fair shake and that really bugs me.

I'll also note that Ingram just about jumped out of the gym on his block. Man is he athletic. I think we'd see the same thing from Adgei but Porter won't play him. I simply don't get that.

PM does not choose to play the bigs we have. He lives and dies with guards. Against WSU he died against their bigs !! I dislike going back to the day, but in both 1963 and 1985 we had BIGS !! And we won with them. We also had guards who shot and defended well. PM IS playing with a three legged horse--His horse needs four !! I am now convinced more than ever that if herdoes NOT recruit and coach Bigs , we will not improve. I do believe we have reached maximum level with PM--He is NOT a disaster as were his predecessers (sp) , but until he plays a team of guards AND BIGS as does WSU, Evansville et al , we are NOT going up in Valley.

I hate saying this especially when he changed his basic philosophy in mid season and wins with it , but it is what it is. Let us see what he does during the balance of his contract--

BTW MONTEL for Saint !!! Sheer courage
