Got to feel sorry for the Panther seniors. Would not expect that from a Jacobsen team.

I couldn't believe my eyes watching that. I feel awful for the players and their fans. I was thinking what if that was Loyola in that situation and they blow it. How awful it would be.

It was the worst basketball meltdown I have ever seen. A complete and total collapse.

All they had to do was chuck the ball down the court instead of trying to spike it (twice!) on their own baseline.

As bad as it was for those final seconds, perspective is everything. If a Round of 32 meltdown is how Milton Doyle's career ends, I would definitely sign up for it.

While I agree a round of 32 would be nice, you would still have to be depressed to be oh so close and that have it snatched away. It was a combination of a great press and a great panic. And if it happened to us, can you imagine the howling that would occur. I would love to see Brot's reaction.

I was wondering how the new rule with less time outs has effected the game and I think this was an example. A lot of teams are getting to those crucial moments of the game with no time outs left. On the other hand you would think the no hand checking rule would make it easier to inbound the ball but seemed to be a lot of contact denying the ball

Well, Brot would posit that it most assuredly would NOT happen to a Moser tram.--

--He has learned about saving t/os for late game needs
--His main strength in Coaching is DEFENSE--
------His weakness is in OFFENSE, which of course is NOT the primary problem in this case.--
------We beat Northern TWICE really because PM out defended Panthers

My real problem with PM is---
---He sacrificed offense (held onto ball too long) .That is OK D but hurts O
---Cannot or will not recruit or Coach Bigs over "littles"
---Has brought us to a level--over Whitesell's raising us
-----But I do NOT see him getting us over mediocrity---But that beats AWFUL, of course.

Bottom line is Panthers would NOT have blown it as did PANTHERS
