Brandon Hutton.

He redshirted as a frosh this year at Iowa before announcing his transfer. We recruited this defensive-minded 6'5" small forward when he was a senior at Chicago DeLasalle. Soundd like a Portertype Rambler.

Milik Yarbrough,

A 6'7" soph forward who avetaged 7 ppg as a soph at St. Louis (10 ppg as a frosh). Went to Zion Benton near North Chicago.

Kendall Stephens.

Purdue has granted his release to explore transfer options. The 6'6" forward is s 3 point threat and aversge 6 ppg his junior year. From St. Charles.

I also took note of Hutton when I saw his name on the list.

Saw a couple SLU games this year, and Yarbrough was terrible.

Hutton would be a great fit for his versatility in guarding bigger guards/swingmen or post players. I read an article talking about how he wants to become the best defender in the big 10. I don't know if Iowa has put the conference restrictions on him but if so, the MVC is not too far of a step down.

Seeing as Hutton is coming off a redshirt year, would he have to sit out another consecutive year as a transfer or does that get waived?

Milton Doyle had to sit out a year when he was only with Kansas for a summer, before his Freshman year even really began, so I'd say yes, Hutton would as well.

I would guess that Hutton will spend a year at a JC so he doesn't have to lose a year of playing. If he goes to a D1, he'll have to sit and lose a year unless some special exception is given. But odds are he'd sit and have 3 years to play afterwards. So it may make more sense to spend a year at a JC, play, and then transfer to a D1 and have 3 years to play.

Thanks Sub. Come to think of it that would make complete sense; as it's exactly what Maurice Kirby did after transferring from Virginia Tech.

How about Marvin Clark, Jr. Leaving Michigan State, went to Sunrise. Or does that mean he's automatically going to WSU?

No local connection, but Porter can try to go after Chad Rykhoek. Leaving Baylor. Big body (6'11", 230). Available to play immediately.
