We recruited point guard Niego out of Lyons Township but he opted to walk on at Indiana. He has decided to leave Indiana after his frosh year and seek a D1 scholarship. I think he is still worth a look, although he looked overmatched in an Indiana game I saw on tv, being unable to fight through screens on defense. His brother Connor is a 6 8" 3/4 at LTHS, and might be a better prospect. |

Didn't mean to dis Niego. Even though he's not an explosive athlete, he is skilled and heady and high character. I think he would make an excellent glue guy along the lines of Joe Crisman. |

From what i remember we were one of the two schools that recruited him the hardest early, but fell off as time went on (http://www.chicagotribune.com/ct-spt-04 ... story.html). So I'd be interested to see if we spin the tires on him again; as I feel like we definitely lacked the "glue guy" presence last year. |
