I watched most of that DePaul-Missouri State game. MSU was up big three times before finally losing the lead with 1:22 left. I didn't see anything wrong with the officiating. MSU looks pretty scary when they're playing with confidence-- deep, athletic, quick, and with a great inside and outside game. They have a lot of weapons.

What did in MSU in my opinion was their youth. They didn't deal very well with DePaul's presses and they couldn't penetrate the 3-2 zone defense. When their lead started dwindling they panicked a little. I assume by the time we face Missouri State, they'll have worked out some of their weaknesses.

My other impression from the game--- MSU's road uniforms are possibly the ugliest I've ever seen. They have a white collar type thing that makes them look like hunchbacks.

I even hate seeing Depaul when a coin toss. But talking bout the Valley. Wichita State plays the Gentlemens Strip Club (Louisville) coached by Colonel Schultz (I see nothiiiiing) today on ESPN at 1:30 I think. Also the Valley Volleyball Championship opens on Thanksgiving??? seems weird.

That's a tough loss for Missouri State. Would have been a nice win for them. Garrett and Cain are really good players. The way they took over the game at various points reminded me of some Loyola losses of recent years. They just couldn't get a stop when they needed one, and DePaul's press really messed with them.

As for Missouri State and the Valley race, after watching them I think we'll match up well with them. We should be able to slow down their guards with our defense and run them off the three point line.
