Weird timing, but overall not a surprise that he's gone. Always struck me as a good dude, but starting 1-7 in your 4th year is hard to defend.

Looked at Drake athletics website. Former Rambler J.R. Blount is an assistant basketball coach. At least he is until the end of the season when a new coach takes over from interim coach Rutter.
