Not basketball related, so sue me.

Watching Channel 2 News (Chicago CBS affiliate) a minute ago and who do I see expounding on the new Chicago tax on shopping bags?

GORAMBLERS!

I thought it was St Paddy's day cuz he was wearing a Kelly green tie the color of the Chicago River.

Too bad Pam Zekman didn't do the interview. Go would have looked much taller...

The big question is when are we going to have to start addressing him as "Alderman GoRamblers" and, later, if history is any guide, "Inmate 14723".

MIGAWD !! bag tax ??? The Illinois citizenry must be or should be ashamed of their Politicians !!! Hang in there GO !!!

For the record Ohio is solvent --in the black !! And !! most of our Hoops teams are pretty darn good---OSU, Akron, Cavs Dayton Cincy

The bag tax or fee is intended to get shoppers to bring their own reusable bags. It's an environmental more than revenue measure.

Nothing shameful about it. Chicago is hardly alone.

Here's an article listing other cities and states that have or are considering legislation to reduce the use of disposable plastic shopping bags.
