Not basketball related, so sue me. Watching Channel 2 News (Chicago CBS affiliate) a minute ago and who do I see expounding on the new Chicago tax on shopping bags? GORAMBLERS! I thought it was St Paddy's day cuz he was wearing a Kelly green tie the color of the Chicago River. Too bad Pam Zekman didn't do the interview. Go would have looked much taller... |

The bag tax or fee is intended to get shoppers to bring their own reusable bags. It's an environmental more than revenue measure. Nothing shameful about it. Chicago is hardly alone.
