IUPUI finished their season last night getting hammered in the Summit League Tnmt by Nebraska-Omaha 1. Matt Oleary- I think Matt has finished his career...he finished in style as an Academic All-American..Still wonder what happened with the transfers in that group. 2. IUPUI scheduled like many of us have discussed..They played a lot of Big Time teams on the road Northwestern, Miami, U of Illinois, Ball State, Marquette,Illinois St, Michigan, Eastern Michigan. They finished 14-18 and 7-9 in the Conference....Do not know if it made them a better team or made them a ton of money but that is a pretty exciting schedule. 3. THe two Loyola connections left,Oleary and Combs( Nick Osbourne no longer playing college basketball) led the team in stats. They were 1 and 2 in scoring ,Oleary led the team in rebounds and Combs in points and assists. |

Don't forget Jordan Pickett! He played fairly well for them last season but also disappeared with two years of eligibility left. It's actually quite strange that of the group of athletes that left Loyola O'Leary was the only one to play out his eligibility... honestly in most cases it led to roster upgrades. When you look at the students who have transferred from Moser teams, they've all either stopped playing basketball or gone to significantly lower levels of ball. |
