Tykei looks very athletic amd skilled on his mixtape. Can really sky (read somewhere he has a 40' vertical). His mechanics on his jumper look excellent. He is supposed to be a high academic recruit.
But what I really like is his demeanor on the court. He seems serious-minded and all business. No hotdogging or showboating. Just solid findamental play.
I really like this commitment!

My takes on Tykei Greene. Tykei played for a lower quality, talent-wise, conference his freshman-junior year. Last summer he played for Team AJ Price and he started to make a name for himself after playing just as good or better against much tougher competition. He then transferred to Long Island Lutheran where he went 22-3. He seemed to do it all for his team at some points, but I think his major skills that will transfer to the next level immediately are his length and ability to finish around the rim, quick hands to make deflections on defense, moving without the ball, spot up shooting (may shoot ~40% from 3 next year), and his physicality and athleticism (6'4" with 6'10"-11" wingspan). I think if he ends up staying all 4-years at Loyola he could wind up leading the team in scoring one of his last two years. This is a wonderful pickup and he should look to slot in and play similar minutes to Bruno or Satterwhite from last season (~10 min/game). And if he can consistently shoot a higher percentage from 3 than Bruno he may see closer to 15 or 20 min/game.

Nice write up! The teams going to need at least two solid bench contributors next season to give the starters some breathing room much like Aundre and Lucas did (both averaged about 20mpg off the bench). I like Bruno's ability to drive to the bucket and pass; and when he's feeling his shot he can score in a hurry; needs to take some steps on defense though if he wants the sixth man role.

If I were to put money down now I think Kaifes will get take over in the Lucas role, Kaifes value as a shooter will be big from day 1; his shot is so smooth. Meanwhile I think Negron makes a leap and takes the other 20. It will be interesting to see how the bench plays out overall. Our starting 5 should be tops in the league but we will need some members of our young bench to grow quickly; that said all of them are brimming with potential.

New offer:

It makes sense to offer a juco to balance classes. Bruno is the only junior on the roster.

Ali signed with Kent State in fall but got his release yesterday. Rumor is that his prep coach influenced decision.

I definitely think Negron will get a huge bump in minutes and Lucas should probably see closer to 30 minutes than 20 minutes next year.

Nice pick up. We should also get some quality minutes from Bujdoso as well.

I see a very nice rotation. We are going to need Negron and/or Agunanne to contribute.

I think what I like best about Tykie Greene is 1. Great smile 2. His channeling of Otis Redding on his mixed highlite film....Gotta like a youngster that knows his old school R and B. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=158fwCG27zE

As a player what I like is that physically he looks like he has room to grow and fill out which I think will make him extremely tough around the rim. I also liked his mid-range jumper which is now essential for guards in this offense....
Only non-positive comment is that competition on high lite film did not look all that....

Glad to have Tykie as a Rambler
