Mullins is working Michigan. Looks like he knows Duane Washington who we offered and plays in the same league as Brandon Wade. Agree with Mike, looks like a big wing.

Xavier Casteneda 6'0" Point Guard from Whitney Young
True point guard from Whitney Young, helped them win a state championship with new Rambler Lucas Williamson. He's a true point with great vision and good burst. We'll likely be looking for a following Custers departure (Skokna will likely fill the roll for 1-2 seasons depending on when Custer leaves). Smaller but finishes well around the rim and has a solid shot. Scout has him as a 3 star prospect. He's got a bunch of offers varying from mid majors like Miami (OH) and Drake to higher schools like Iowa State and Mizzou. Given his size it'll be interesting to see if higher schools back off if he doesn't grow, Iowa State offered him before his Junior season. We also are recruiting his teammate Javon Freeman.

DeAndre Heckard is scheduled to visit June 6th per multiple sources. He's a 6'1 PG who plays for Romeoville. Pretty strong for his size and good athleticism. He's been generating a lot of hype lately and is rated as top ten in his class.
I'm kind of guessing we're not gonna fill the thirteenth scholarship (or Tyson's coming back?). But with this in mind we'll probably have 5 scholarships out next year all of our current offers for 2018 give reason to be exciting. Local, and high level players. Some combination of Heckard, Moore, Freeman, Peterson, Pinkley, Castaneda, a JUCO big and a 6'10" big George Conditt or Jalen Shaw (No offers to those two yet) would be a crazy hall.

Previously mentioned him on here, but we've officially offered Ryan Wade out of Skyline High School. Pretty sure we've been recruiting him for over a year now, just offered.



We'll also have DeAndre Heckards AAU teammate Eddie Creal on campus June 6th (looks he'll be visiting with DeAndre). Creal just received an offer from Lewis and his D1 interest has been quickly rising... ISUr and Drake were two i found off a quick search.

Verbal commitments. LU offer 6`10 George Conditt. 2018.

6'10 big man who's rapidly rising in recruiting circles. He had a late growth spurt so he's got great handles for a big man. Just got offered by Illinois last week, but played at LU's team camp yesterday.

We also offered 6'4 guard Keshawn Justice yesterday. Mostly has MVC and Horizon offers.

With a 7'3 wingspan out of Corliss HS. Kind of rising out of nowhere this summer, lots of lower D1 offers but UIUC and Houston just offered with us, and he's garnering interest from other P5 schools as well now (including a camp at Purdue soon, he was just at our camp). Feel like we're a little late to the game to be offering at the same time as P5 schools, but maybe Porter can convince him to stay at home.

One comforting thing is UIUC has offers out to like 7 other PFs and a couple in their program already, along with Houston. Maybe lack of playing time will convince him to come run in the valley with us. Would be huge for us.
