I am definitely not omniscient, and probably not prescient either, but I gotta think I'm at least a tad scient:

Sometimes you post after too many inebrients, but this was solid sleuthing.

Posting a Republican campaign button? How very bipartisan of you!

Drew Peterson scored 37 of Libertyville's 63 points Friday in win over a good Waukegan team. That kind of shooting and scoring ability is rare. LU should go all in despite his thin build and need by position.

Interesting that you mention his thin build....I do not know if we have given enough credit to the people in charge of conditioning. We had 3 players come in ,Andre Jackson, Bruno S and Krutwig lost 20ibs after committing......So maybe we can bulk Peterson up.

I could be wrong (and based on numbers i kinda hope), but I don't think we're still on Peterson. Last I checked only 2 coaches followed him and typically they all follow our top targets.

I get the sense Peterson's waiting for a high major school to bite, and we've eased off...He plays for Mike Mullins of the Illinois Wolves so we'd have the inside scoop on what he wants/how he'd fit. He reminds me of Sasha Stefanovic, an excellent sharpshooter we recruited last season. He listed us and a few other mid majors as his final five then committed the DAY Purdue offered. He's currently redshirting.

Next years team also projects to be young with potentially only 3-4 upper classman should Clay and Marques not return (Skokna, Sattwhite, Avery, then Uguak as a redshirt sophomore); so they may be holding out for a JUCO player after the season. I should also note I don't think both Clay and Marques leave, but you can never be to careful.

Peterson doesn't have a mixtape or any good recent videos online. Hard for me to judge him but I love his size and stats.

Lamar Norman Jr. looks great on his videos. Very quick and bouncy. Only downside I could see was he has a low release point on his jumper.

I would be more than happy signing either of these guys.

I sort of get the logic of maybe going after a junior college player for next year because of our relative youth. Plus Moser has had a lot of success with his JC signees.

I guess we'll find out after our deep run in the NCAA Tournament this season.

We have learned the hard way that you never really know about transfers and early departures, but I don't particularly expect Custer and Townes to leave. Especially Townes; I don't think you transfer and sit a year to only play one.
