Milt has two games in...and has been kind of quiet but did a lot of little things in the first games..7 rebounds 5 assists. He plays for the Mike Dunham AUto sales team and you can find box scores here...he has another game today at 12 https://www.portsmouthinvitational.com/schedule-results |

I was able to watch some of the 2nd game, and didn't really like the basketball play. Most possessions lasted less than 10 seconds. It was a lot of a guy going 1-on-1 and taking a contested shot, and Milt just didn't get the ball to score. Defensively he looked decent, and had some good blocks. I just wished his team ran a better offense that let everyone show more than their isolation moves. |

Stats are not usually the number one thing...practices and meeting the kids individually plus each scout is looking for their own thing.....A lot of these guys are looking for the little stuff as well as scoring. So lets hope they saw in Milt what they were looking for. |

Milton actually was complimented on his defense on the ball and off the ball. The scouts know the players who can score, they are looking for players who can defend as well. Milton also impressed them with his shot selections and overall judgment on the floor. |

They also noticed he is a team player, they were glad he didn't make himself look bad taking bad shots. Playing in that kind of thing can be a positive or a negative if you are not careful. Kudos to Coach Porter for expressing defense first!! His goal for Milton was to make him a good defensive player for the next level. |

I was unable to watch but was glad he was able to show his ability to create for others and rebound as well. Best of luck as he continues through these next steps! |

It's a great sign that the scouts like his defense. Just about everyone at that tournament can create and score on offense, but defense is the one thing that truly holds players back in the pros (see Jimmer Fredette). |
