Brot- Here's how the roster stands as of now: Forwards 6'5 Aundre Jackson 6'6 Christian Negron (Freshmen) 6'6 Donte Ingram 6'6 Matt Chastain 6'9 Cam Krutwig (Freshmen) Guards 6'1 Clayton Custer 6'2 Tyson Smith 6'3 Ben Richardson 6'4 Lucas Williamson (Freshmen) 6'4 Cam Satterwhite 6'4 Bruno Skokna 6'4 Marques Townes (Redshirt Junior) 6'5 Adarius Avery (Junior) There's been some speculation regarding if Tyson Smith is returning or if he will stop playing entirely due to injury as we have recently offered and hosted some big bodied recruits and he has had several knee injuries. We should have a much deeper team than last year and as Ahunte mentioned in a previous thread i could see a platoon type system if all goes well. We have 3 above average shooters in Custer, Richardson, and Ingram (3pt shooting will need to be addressed in the next recruiting class as they could potentially all graduate), two great slashers in Townes and Avery, and a reliable solid inside presence in Aundre Jackson as well as two freshmen that should contribute down low as well in Negron and Krutwig. Krutwig i could potentially see starting day one as center. Between his size and footwork he'll be tough on the valley, where traditional back to basket bigs are hard to find. Negron will hopefully fulfill the junkyard dog roll, snagging boards and getting putbacks, if i had to guess he'll take a year to develop coming off an injury in his senior season before we really see what he can do. Furthermore I anticipate Skokna and Satterwhite improving significantly after a full offseason. Satterwhite was really coming along well near the end of the season and Skokna showed flashes of being an above average point guard down the line (needs to play better on the road and get his shot to fall in game though). Chastain will be an interesting case as he has had several knee injuries, hopefully he's recovered and able to maintain his explosiveness. Williamson will likely be a great glue guy. I expect him to take over the grit role that Richardson has filled over his time here; like Richardson i see him as a high floor, but maybe lower ceiling due to athleticism. Richardsons not the biggest or fastest but he makes good decisions and drives team culture. I wouldn't be surprised to see Williamson play some crunch time minutes as a freshmen, but at the same time i wouldn't be surprised if he's the 12th player or 13th player off the bench given this newfound depth. |

Big News: Rumor coming out of some managers and some guys on the team is that Matt Chastain is transferring and that Tyson is gone too. Not positive about any of this, but seems to be what people close to the program are at least talking about. Sad to see both of them go if that's true. I hope its not. |

Chastain recently swapped his Loyola twitter icon from LU to Leroy. Wouldn't be surprised if true. Given his injury history and that he's a small town kid I wouldn't be surprised to see him go. Eerily similar case to Tanner Williams who transferred out after successive knee injuries. Chastain tore his ACL in high school as well as his meniscus. Wish him the best if true! From a team standpoint it's not as big a blow as it would have been before the two recent additions. |

Hey !! Thanks guys !! We do appear to be a tad taller and maybe quicker--Chastain notwithstanding-- It does seem as if this next season we might have a true tourney chance, Porter is sure to meld this bunch into the winning team we all expect-- |

I can confirm Dansen's post about Chastain and Tyson both are done with the team. 3 Sources close to team. As of right now that leaves us with 2 scholarships open for players either JUCO or late 2017 recruit (project for porter) like Igor. |
