Anyone going to the golf outing on Thursday? If not any questions you want me to fire at AD Watson or Coach Moser? also if you were thinking about it and do not play golf.....drinks after ..I would say if you were there at 2ish.....with what is usually a really good silent auction (CUbs,Soxs Blackhawk stuff usually) dinner....you got it chicken etc....with a talk by the coach and AD. This year is at Golf Club of Illinois in ALgonquin....

Do we have anyone willing to be the pool reporter (it's not as fun and refreshing as it sounds) at the golf outing tomorrow?

Normally I would volunteer, but I can't make it this year. I think nate is our man in Algonquin.

I'm hoping for some more info on scheduling, if you happen to hear anything on the record. It seems like we should be getting closer to a schedule release, as all teams are completing their schedules earlier each year.

Anything you might hear about working bigger (and likely less mobile) players into the flow of the offense. I guess what I'm looking for is some idea of minutes for players like Krutwig, Negron, and Shanks. Also, how that might affect the game of Aundre Jackson.

I think the entire non con schedule is complete minus two games (likely a non D1 and one more home game).
I slated 11/19 and 11/21 as home dates because those are the dates Kent St. is using as home dates for the Sav. Invit.
3 of the 4 road teams are: Samford, SELA, and Miss. Valley St. We will play at least one of these teams at home and maybe 2. I could not find the 4th team.

Fri. 11/10: Wright State
TBA: @ UMKC
Sun. 11/19: Home Savannah Invit.
Tues. 11/21: Home Savannah Invit.
Sat. 11/24: UNCW
Sun. 11/25: Kent State
TBA: UIC
Wed. 12/6: @ Florida
TBA: @ UWM
TBA: Toledo

Would have looked a lot better with NC State on it.

3 Horizon teams. It's like we're playing the Hokey Pokey with our schedule.

This tournament is not great name brand wise, but the RPI should be better for us across the board. Purely from RPI alone Kent State (142) and UNCW (27) ranked higher than St. Joseph's(201), Oral Roberts (292), and Washington State (163) last season. Even Samford(170), who we should be playing, was only behind Washington State, and not by much.

I'm pretty confident UIC might make a run this year as well and potentially win the Horizon; Toledo's always tough, playing at Milwaukee and UMKC gives us a little boost if we win; as well as some road experience to newcomers. At Boise is another solid game. Florida's obviously the litmus test for the team, can we hang with the big boys. I'd love to see a few more name brand schools, especially NC State coming through; maybe go after a different mid major conference instead of some of these horizon games (I'd love to play Murray State), but i don't hate the schedule. Last season four of our games were Alcorn St., Norfolk St., and two non D1's. We're not getting an at large big with this, but i don't think that was really the expectation for any team in the valley this year. It'll be a dogfight in conference.

In summary, it's not the best but it's better.
