This thread could use a few COUNTDOWNS:

RPI Countdown
Ken Pom Countdown
BPI Countdown
AP Poll Countdown
USA Today Coaches Poll Countdown
Mid Major Madness Countdown

I think somebody with elite formatting skills combined with a flair for countdowns should cook something up. Maybe add an historical graph or six showing the Ramblers' spot in these rankings throughout the year.

Wins over Wright State and UIC looking better....UIC has played well lately and looks like they will finish in top 3 in Horizon and may end up with a 20 win season. Also lets hope Florida wins out.

KenPom latest: 45, up from 52. This poll tends to lower than the traditional RPI - so getting into the mid 40's is a big deal.

RPI now sits at 33; right behind Oklahoma and above Butler. With a win tomorrow we may get to the high 20s or just stay near 30.

Running the RPI wizard (an inexact science), with wins of ISUr, UNI (q-finals), Bradley (semis) and a loss to MoSt in finals, our RPI would sit at 28. Then we'd be hoping teams like Florida, Wright St and UIC can make runs in their conference tourneys to try to climb to mid-20s. Obviously, all hypothetical. Because we are going to win in StL.

Whelp, WSU didn't help us today.

They lost 66-56 to IUPUI.

Let's hope for a deep run in the HL tournament for them.

Yeah, that's crazy. WSU beat all the top teams in the HL, and lost to Milwaukee twice, IUPUI, and Cleveland State, all of the losses to below .500 teams in conference.

UIC hosts top team No. Kentucky tonight, so gotta hope they hold serve at home. A UIC win would move UIC up 15 spots in the RPI and create a three-way tie for the HL lead.
