A night of upsets

Drake beats Bradley
Indiana State beats Valpo

and the biggest

SIU wins at UNI

Makes me feel a lot more at ease after losing the opener at MSU. Win the next two, and we’re still in a really good position. Of course, the first step is winning Saturday.

I figured Drake would have a good chance. Their experience plays against Bradley.

Never thought SIU would win at UNI.

SIU winning at UNI was definitely the biggest shocker (ha!) of the night. I had SIU picked pretty high (4th) in my prediction from early November. They're going to be pretty formidable when they get completely healthy.

I also watched the Valpo-Indiana State game. Valpo has a lot of weapons, and there were glimpses of some super talent from their young players inbetween some sloppiness and bad decisions. They made two runs where they erased double-digit leads in seconds.

Drake's win was pretty interesting, too, in that Bradley has shown to be still somewhat weak on the road.

Maybe even moreso now with WSU out of the conference, those MVC road wins are GOLD. I like the parity and I like where the conference is headed... it's pretty exciting.

OK now the ball game is really in our hands !! Let us win these two home games and we then will be in great shape --I do believe we shall prove how really good we are--
I expect our injured guys will be back about now--If so :LOOK OUT VALLEY !!
This team IS the best we have had in years.
