What is the tie breaker?

They look at the head to head record first. If the tie is between more than 2 teams they look at the record against all the teams tied like a mini round robin. If a tie exists after that, they rank based off the RPI.

Our magic number remains at 7.

Most likely seeds at Arch Madness from Hacksaw's simulations at the MVC Fans board:

1. Loyola
2. SIU
3. Bradley
4. IL State
5. MO State
6. Drake
7. IN State
8. Evansville
9. UNI
10. Valpo

Down to 6. Bradley and SIU both down at halftime. Need both to lose to lower the magic number to five.

We're down to 5

I guess we're rooting for Illinois State tonight?

5 sure sounds like a great number... but, I don't like when you still have to win out to guarantee it.

Good point... we'd be tied 14-4 with SIU but if we sweep them we'd get the tie breaker. And even if we split with with SIU wouldn't we still win the 2nd tie breaker b/c we'd have a better RPI?

Magic number would drop to 4 with an ISU win tonight, but....

It might be tough with Keyshawn Evans out with a bruised bone for the next week and a half, and Malik Yarbrough being arrested Wednesday morning on an outstanding warrant from a traffic stop.

When is SIU finally going to run down with only six players?
