I found this on YouTube last night and watched it hoping for a different result. Although I was only 7 years-old in 1985, I do remember the buzz surrounding Ramblers’ basketball in the mid to late 80s. I was wondering what a few of my fellow Loyola alums remember most about this game - and the two previous games against Iona and SMU. https://youtu.be/gALs_njtBNU |

I was 7 about to turn 8 and remember watching this game at my neighbor's with my Dad who is class of 1966. Didn't really grasp the significance at the time since my Dad is not quite the super-fan that I am, but I did get exposed to Ramblermania at a young age. |

I will always remain steadfast in the notion that we could have played for the NCAAA championship if they would have had the 3 point line in existence back then. With Golston, Battle ,and Hughes as long range bombers,no one would have stopped us. |

Your mention of the three point line had me look up the three originated, and I got this article from USA Basketball, which mentions a former Loyola player in the second sentence: https://www.usab.com/youth/news/2011/06 ... inter.aspx |
