Are Drake and Mo St done ?? I think so Drake surprised by winning early and often--Mo St the favorite has run aground leaving it mostly up to us TO PLAY OUR game--If we do I see no way Bradley or anyone in this league can stop us this year. We have a rather complete team with DEPTH !! Keep pushing gang !! OUR eight or now nine are better than the rest |

I picked SIU for 4th, and that was way better than most people placed them. Now they're a notch behind us at 7-4. If we lose to Bradley tomorrow, they're also 7-4, and would be just a game behind us. Even if MSU and Drake seem like they're dropping out of the race, they can still be spoilers. There is a looooonnnngggg way to go. Remember last year? We were 7-4 at this time last year, and we looked like a shoo-in for third place. We lost by one point in overtime on the road at Missouri State last January 31, and it was the beginning of a 2-6 stretch to close out the regular season, and topped off by a one-and-done Arch Madness. We're only favored by a 1 1/2 points at Bradley, and they haven't lost on their floor this year. I wouldn't underestimate any team in this league this year-- UNI is in 9th place, and they beat NC State, SMU, and UNLV this year. Indiana State is in 6th place, and they beat us and Indiana on the road. |

I'm with JCT on this one! a 2 game lead can disappear in one week, literally. And there is no way that this league or any other league is just going to lay down and let a team run away with it. Don't shoot me for being negative...this is the most athletic LU team I've ever seen in my 20 years of fandom... but in the back of my mind I'm still waiting for the wheels to fall off of this bus. But boy o boy would I like to be wrong. The Mrs and I are headed down to Bradley this afternoon... so we'll be routing them tonight! Go Ramblers!!! |

Thankfully, I think we're in a better position to sustain our success than these two. I think the league is starting to adjust to the new system under Niko Medved at Drake. Porter understands that we need to keep things fresh, and we are more talented than Drake. For Missouri St, they had that weird therapy thing costing them two players. One of them was Scurry who we struggled against. If he missed the game we played them, I think we would've won. His loss is probably part of this downfall. That said, hopefully the team takes note at how quickly the season can turn. Let's also hope that the coaching staff reminds the players what happened last year to keep them focused on winning one game at a time. We haven't put together a full conference season in a long time. If everyone keeps the right mentality, with our talent, this should be the year that happens. |

We are in the driver's seat, but our arch nemesis Barry is in the rear view mirror. |

SIU, Illinois State, and Bradley are all playing well at the moment. Season is far from over! |

Unconfirmed rumor on the MO St message board is that the other player who was hurt is out for the year, and Scurry might be as well. Said he's in a wheelchair and can't walk. |

Maybe Matt O'Leary's infamous barefoot snow walk (cue Brot's condemnation) was actually a self-administered cryotherapy treatment? |
