If you have every watched Rounders....and heard John Malcovich as KGB say " you just hanging around,,,hanging around" you know how I feel about SIU. I really do not want to go down there next Saturday with the Conference on the line. They are getting healthier and improving. and Johnathon Willey is back playing. Here are two quotes from the Bradley game.
"Jonathan Wiley, playing in his first game of 2018 after tearing his ACL, MCL and PCL in his right knee in late December, scored four points off the bench". ""I think we're a different team now because everybody is comfortable with their rotations, they know they're going to play, they're telling us when their tired now," Hinson said."
So the Salukis wearing themselves down does not seem to be the deal for the rest of the year. I need some breathing space.....somebody beat those guys.
The Valley is a grind and whoever comes out on top this year deserves it......The Ramblers are going to have to continue to improve and play hard.

Great reference....especially since Malkovich is from Benton, Illinois (that’s a handful of miles Northeast of Carbondale, for you Northerners).

I said in another thread that it would be ideal to be on the opposite side of the bracket from SIU in St Louis. Their depth may be “improved” somewhat, but three straight days of games is still likely to be much more of a grind on them than it would be for us.

I read on their board that Wiley is limited to playing four minute stretches, so I don't know how much he'll solve their depth problem. Of course things could change come Arch Madness time.

To play off Rounders, Teddy had a tell, and Mike knew what it was.

My point being the Ramblers are in control of their outcome and don’t have any glaring weakness. Every from here out is going to be tough but LU has balance, depth, leadership and veteran ballhandlers. That’s a good recipe for this time of year.
