Northern Kentucky at Wright State, 8 p.m. The #1 and #2 teams in the Horizon face off in Dayton. It's relevant to us because Wright State is one of our better RPI opponents on the year, and they've slipped lately. Wright State won the earlier matchup at NKU. A WSU win would improve their RPI back to near 100 (I estimate 103), and within striking distance of being a Top 100 opponent if they finish strong. Their RPI would need to get to 75 for our game against them to go back to being a Q2 win, and that might be possible if they come close to winning out.
#16 Rhode Island at St. Bonaventure, 6 p.m. Rhode Island is 21-3, 13-0 in the A10, and they've won 16 straight games. The Bonnies are right behind them in the A10 standings with an RPI of 40. Right now, St. Bonaventure is predicted as one of the last teams in as an 11 seed, and Loyola is predicted as one of the first teams out as a 12. So a Rhode Island win is in our interests for seeding and as one of the 22 things that would have to fall in line for us to get a sniff at an at large (the others being Florida going on a tear, Boise going on a tear, Florida winning the SEC tournament, Boise winning the MW tournament, Wright State winning out to get back to a Q2 win for us, Middle Tennessee winning the CUSA tournament, teams like UCLA, USC, Baylor, Kansas State, NC State, stumbling, etc., etc., etc., )
