Fighting off tears. 33 years since our last outright conference championship, and in my entire 29-year relationship with Loyola I've known nothing else but wait until next year.

And a packed house to welcome them home for one more home game. This truly is a different world.

I have had season tickets since 1975. This conference championship is particularly satisfying. I was at the press conference at Loyola when it was announced that we had been accepted into the MVC. A conference representative confided that SIU, Bradley and ISU had lobbied against us because they thought we would weaken the conference. Tonight is sweet revenge and hopefully we can beat ISU on Saturday for our seniors and so Porter can sweep The ISU Jailbirds. Go Ramblers!

This is fantastic! I did get kind of emotional there for a second, I too have only ever known defeat and disappointment as a Ramblers fan. This is really cool!

Oh yes. Definitely a little emotional. How long have we waited for something like this? In my case - since 1985. Thank you Ramblers - and thank you Porter. See you on Saturday for the first ever sell out. I can't wait.

The most memorable game when I was in school was hosting Michigan State. A sellout that people were hyped to see, because of the team we were playing. Saturday will be another sellout that people will be hyped to see...because of the Ramblers.
