Good morning GANG !! And a nice one it is !! 'cept for the weather here ICE STORM !! Our RPI now stands at 33 !! Best I can remember !! Question is will it or a number close to it be enough ?? Fageddaboudit !! WIN OUT !! |

Unfortunately I don’t think it will. Look at ISU last year. Must win Arch Madness. The NIT is still a great accomplishment either way. If the Ramblers win out I think an 11 seed is possible. |

Loyola could be a “last four” out and receive a #1 NIT seed. Of course I would prefer a 11 seed in the NCAA. |

There are four regional bracket pods with 8 teams each in the NIT. We would be a very high seed in one of the brackets, probably a 1 or 2 depending on how far we go at Arch Madness, probably no lower than a three in a worst case scenario. Seeds 1 through 4 get first round home games, then the higher seed gets home court until one team comes out of each bracket for a trip to New York. So what you're saying is that if the worse case scenario happens in the next week... we get an NIT home game?!?!? That's obviously not what I want...but it's a damn good worse case scenario. |
