Amid the news regarding Arizona Wildcats coach Sean Miller that dominated the weekend, Arizona Daily Star columnist Greg Hansen listed 13 possible Sean Miller successors. Look at one of the names listed—albeit a very unlikely one!

As those of you who remember me from my Ramblermania regular days know, I have a special relationship with Tucson, Arizona, and The University of Arizona is a big part of that. While the Ramblers are obviously No. 1 on my college basketball depth chart, Arizona Basketball is No. 2. Arizona Football is No. 2 behind No. 1 Northwestern Football on the college football depth chart, and Arizona Baseball is my No.1 team ahead of No. 2 Northwestern Baseball on the college baseball depth chart. I thought the football Wildcats losing the Territorial Cup to Arizona State this past fall was the worst thing to happen to Arizona athletics this term. Was I sure wrong!

The shameful embarrassment brought upon The University of Arizona and the good people of Tucson, Arizona, first by Rich Rodriguez and now evidently by Sean Miller is deeply troubling to say the least. There are other underlying scandals in both football and basketball that only add to this mess, and that is why I think The University of Arizona needs to clean house in the athletics administration. Hopefully, the football program is headed back to respectability under new coach Kevin Sumlin. The embarrassing and self-inflicted problems of the basketball program are more profound. Not only should Miller be fired—What is the UA waiting for?—I also think the Arizona basketball program must face whatever music the NCAA deems appropriate. This scandal that has enveloped several big name programs in college basketball will likely decimate Arizona basketball for seasons to come. While the program definitely deserves whatever comes its way from the NCAA, the good Tucsonans who root their hearts out and Bear Down for all things Wildcats do not deserve this shameful embarrassment caused them by Sean Miller and other enablers at the McKale Center.

WELL Here I go again !!Arizona is in DEEP trouble and this MUST be cleaned up there and everywhere !! My cure might be forfeiture of UPCOMING games--HOW many ?? TBD by the NCAA AND the PAC 12( This to show other schools mean business)--The athletes must be allowed to enroll elsewhere without penalty if proved innocent--Most are you know Some in the Media are advocating that athletes be paid a stipend !! RUBBISH !! They get one--a FREE EDUCATION now
Past penalties have done little or nothing to curb this trash--Same teams over and over again--Some going WAY back to my young days in the FIFTIES -KENTUCKY !! And still they march on !!

Interesting....that other schools problems could benefit us. In talking to our AD yesterday he seemed to think that the NCAA investigation may expand our chances of getting an at large bid,,,,,if required.
