With a huge nod to everything the Tribune has written over the past few weeks (thank you Shannon Ryan!), some of the absolute best stuff about the Ramblers has been in The Athletic. If you haven't subscribed and can spare the dough, you really should. There are few comparisons, but plenty of adjectives for Loyola's Final Four run: Quote: I was a believer in Moser's defense and the floor-spreading offense going into the tournament and picked them to go to the Sweet 16. But the Final Four? It's the stuff that dreams are made of.
There's no need to tie this team's success to anything in the past. These Ramblers already stand alone. If they win again and play Duke or Villanova in the national championship game, well, maybe let's just stay in the present.
