Met some nice SIU fans at their game against Bradley.

When we got talking about our teams, I remembered that Vic Rouse (the player who tipped in the Loyola's 1963 Championship winning bucket, for some of you younger fans) went to SIU for another master's degree after getting his first master's at Loyola. While there, he became a student member of the SIU Board of Trustees. He later got his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California and founded a think tank in Washington DC.

Salukis !! Their Fans are superb---They do have a blind spot--at least some do--Some want Hinson gone --This I cannot figure--In my opinion I felt until Porter came on two years back that Lou was the best in the Valley !! This year his wounded team finished 2nd !! Darn good 20 game win record !!

And he has you fooled. 20 wins against a horrid non conference schedule. Every decent team SIU played this year was a double digit loss Loyola included. 2nd place in the MVC the same distance away from 1st as 8th. Next year there are 7 seniors on the team. Guarantees a decent year next year then back to the JUCO dumpster diving for recruits

Looks little deeper. He actually told fans not to come to games. 17 years as a coach 0 NCAA tournaments. Porter learned under big Rick and figured it out. Barry booked hotel room for Bill Self . His record is what it says he is. An extremely not terrible but very mediocre coach
