Thank you to the Ramblermania Forum for the tremendous feedback and response to my recent post.

Here's a follow-up article, developed in the immediate aftermath of the MVC tourney championship.
Its content fueled from Chicago's college basketball history - and lessons learned:

The resurgence on the Rambler sports scene has been matched by a personal, creative writing output.
And I appreciate the ability to share this content at this exciting time in program history.

As before, your feedback and comments on this article are invited and welcome!

Great article--Hit me where I lived when I was on the job !! One thing is for sure--A huge reason for LUC to strike hard now is ready made here in Chgo--Our pro sports are at low ebb--Bulls are terrible Blackhawks are pitiful--Bears are a disaster--White Sox are at best mediocre---I know little re the Fire---Only the CUBS are winners--besides the RAMBLERS that is. Major College Hoops are a success only in Rogers Park--as far as State of Illinois is concerned-- IF LUC moves as in REIMAGINE LUC will be a leader for years to come. The Media is now finally behind us--We earned it--BUT as they say --Its Tuesday, what have you done since Monday ??? Porter and his TEAMS now and soon will do their part --Will the UNIVERSITY perform its role?? I believe it shall--I truly do !!!

GO RAMBLERS !! Let the NCAA KNOW WE ARE BACK AND BACK TO STAY !!!

Your approval of the article is deeply appreciated!

Speaking of the University administration doing its part, I couldn't help but think of giving credit where it was due - some 30 years ago.
Was thinking of the (attempted) Loyola Landfill, and your post just reinforced my recollection of those events to expand the Lake Shore Campus.

From an athletics point of view, the landfill was earmarked to bring several additional to the campus... detailed here (from 2010):

http://blogs.luc.edu/ilweekly/2010/10/1 ... ore-campus

and here (from 1990):

If you never knew about the Loyola Landfill, it's very interesting reading.
Imagine what that would've done for the Lake Shore Campus!
