This Chicago Tribune article outlines how the format of the Selection Sunday show will change this year.
No longer on CBS; now on TBS.

I'm opposed to the new format.
The old (hour-long) Selection Sunday format is the way to go.
What do you think?

I like the idea of moving it along a little faster. The committee releases Top 16 teams during the year, so I wouldn't mind if they started by listed those off, and putting them in the bracket, and I don't need to wait 30 minutes to find out Kansas is a 1 seed. These are also the teams, that won't have much reaction since they've knew they'd be in and have probably been there before.

Then you can move to showing where conference champions are in the bracket. You'll have exciting reactions, but not much drama since they knew they were in. That can probably be done in 10-15 minutes. Since most people care most about the bubble teams, hold that out while still moving the show along.

Then you can go region by region filling in the remaining at-large bids. Show all the emotions as it goes on, and add some basic commentary about the each region after it's fully revealed. If that takes 15-20 minutes, you can end by having about 30 minutes of a more in-depth discussion about the bracket. This way you'll keep your audience throughout at least the first half of the show, cover all the emotions the article talks about, and make it feel like the show is moving along.
